TOUR

More than just a place to borrow books, the Southport Memorial Library serves as a vital community center — a gathering place for residents of all ages.

It offers programming for children and adults, access to technology, quiet space for reading and study, and a welcoming atmosphere for conversation and connection. As the library of Southport Central School, it also plays a key role in supporting local education, offering resources that enrich the curriculum and encourage lifelong learning.

Whether it is your first time visiting, or your fortieth, there are always new things to find at Southport Memorial Library!

Great Room

This room is home to our extraordinary Butterfly Collection which was generously gifted to the Southport Memorial Library by Stanley F. Marr. It also acts as our meeting space for coffee group & book clubs etc. Our large Print books can be found here, along with Science Fiction and our Tenggren & Rachel Carson Collections.
