ABOUT

The Southport Memorial Library is located at the southern tip of Southport Island, in the Boothbay region of midcoast of Maine.  Southport is a community of 650 year round residents and also has a large population of summer residents and visitors.

The library serves both the community and the Southport Central School, a K-6 school of 30 children, and contains a collection of over 30,000 books, audio books, DVD’s, and CD’s.

The Library has passes for the Portland Museum of Art, The Farnsworth Museum, Maine Maritime Museum, the Railway Village Museum, and the Coastal Maine Botanical Gardens.  All are available for use by our cardholders.
